Students need to study. For many students this is made easier when they are comfortable. Look at the underground coffee house, that place is packed all the time with students studying. They go there because there are couches and comforable chairs.

So why don't we take one of the mostly empty areas of the library and pull out the empty shelves and put in couches, more chairs, and turn it into a place to study or read.
