I think you should be able to use your western number to check out a book without having your western ID card. City libraries are able to do this with either the card number or your personal information, and I think that western students should be able to do it as well whenever needed, not just once in their entire time at western. I just don't understand why this is not possible all the time.

We should be able to check out materials with our W#. We should not need to physically present our Western card every time. Most public libraries allow patrons to use a library card number to check out materials. The Bellingham Public Library, Whatcom County Library System, King County Library System, and Seattle Public Libraries adopted this policy years ago. Some libraries ask for photo ID, verify personal information, or require entering a PIN when a library card is not presented. Why can't Western do it?
