I have yet to find a place to recycle cans in the library. I see tons of people drinking energy drinks (and Mt. Dew, woot) in the library and not a single place to put the cans! There are mixed paper recycle boxes which are great but I doubt people drop their cans in them and if they did, who sorts them? Having a can recycle receptacle on each floor would be really cool. Western students like to recycle and recycling in the library is no exception!

hear hear
recycling bins under print stations are too confusing...are they for cans? plastic?
I agree
I work at the Media Desk in Wilson and often I have to take cans and bottles out of the trash to recycle them. There is a recycling bin for cans and bottles downstairs in the basement where we take the recycling, but a lot of people are not aware of this, even other library workers. Since most people don't know about this, I think it would be much better if there were recycling bins for cans and bottles upstairs in the main floors so there's no question about where to throw away your cans and bottles.
Agree
I definately agree with this i clean up numerous numbers of cans and bottles every morning in the library and feel so wasteful throwing them away but there are no recycling recepticles in the library to put them in. One on each floor near the stairs/ elavators would allow people easy acess to recycling
I agree
I totally agree with this, recycling paper is great, but what about the cans? I know we have a covered container rule (why is this rule in place?), but cans are still used and are often thrown away instead of recycling them.
