The Library needs to work on replacing lost/stolen/non-returned items. Last quarter I needed three books for a huge paper I was doing, and all three had been checked out since 2005. The librarians told me that the policy for that sort of thing was to not buy a new copy until the old one was paid for. It had been three years, I highly doubt that the person was coming back to pay for them. Our Library was the only place in Summit who had them, and, as such, I had to get them from the next closest source, New York city. I almost had to buy one with my own money just to get it in time. Books that have been gone for more than 6 months should be replaced so that we can actaully use them.
