I've recently had issues finding a study room for a group that didn't have someone sleeping in it or an individual person with stuff all over. My suggestion is to set up a reservation system for the group study rooms where you check out a key (and possibly chalk, whiteboard markers, technology aids, etc) for a specified amount of time. The doors to the study rooms would be locked if no reservation for that time had been made. I used this system as an undergrad at UW, and it worked great. You could reserve the rooms online and provide a specific meeting place for the group. I would really like to see a similar system implemented at WWU.
