Western's music students are mostly so busy studying (in the library) and practicing (not in the library) that none seem to have commented on this site. The music library is often surprisingly quiet and, with its skylights and potted plants, is much more hospitable than much of Haggard and the upper stories of Wilson. The only comparable space accross the street is the Harry Potter room in Wilson (which is closed). However, there are a few possible improvements: longer hours, especially on Saturdays and weekday and Sunday evenings, and being able to check out the CDs. I realize there are significant concerns about copyright violation, but at this point the cd collection does not seem to circulate except via faculty reserve. Please know that a lot of people care about the music library, but the fact that this survey originated "across the street" makes it seem like it does not address our needs and concerns. We are in our own little world over here!
