There seems to me a conflict of ideas about what the library should be used for. Some feel like it is a place to meet with others and discuss projects, tests, and have group debates on topics. Others want the library to simply be a quiet palce to read and study alone. What I believe would solve this problem is instead of having the entire library semi-quiet and semi-social there should be whole floors devoted to both. Yes there are the study rooms but outside of them theres others who are just as loud. If there were floors where you could make as much noise as you wanted and floors of absolute silence then I think this problem would be solved. Also I saw that the new section of the library is opening and the way it is set up it looks like it would be a great place for group projects; with its large work space tables and openness.
