One of my biggest problems is there is no real access to the 3rd floor of haggard hall for people with disabilities. The staff will go up and pick up the books you want but it would be nice to just ride the elevator up. For my self I have a small disability and it is difficult for me drag my book bag upand down the stairs to get to the history books.
POSITIVE NOTE: I Have never had a problem with the staff in the library. They are always appreciative of the followup on the conditions of the books that I have checked out.

ELEVATOR ACCESS TO HAGGARD 3 - Library Reply, Sept. 2008
While there is no elevator that will take one directly from the ground floor of Haggard to the stacks area or planetarium on the third there is elevator access. Given that the library shares the Haggard building with several other campus agencies it is not possible for one elevator to make the trip. The library must be able to have secure access points into library space.
For the above reason you'd need to:
ONE - Take the elevator off to the right of the ground level main library entrance to the second floor of Haggard.
TWO - Proceed to the corridor that runs towards the library administration office where you'd find an elevator about half-way down on the left. This elevator will take you to the third floor of Haggard.

At least make it easier to figure out where elevators are
I had to be on crutches for 2 weeks last year, and it took me a ridiculous amount of time just to get to the main 2nd-floor area in Haggard. The elevator is tucked away in a corner off to the side of the main entrance, and I was walking/limping all over the place before I found it. So perhaps more prominent signs indicating how to get around if you can't use the stairs--that'd be a really simple/inexpensive change, and it'd be extremely helpful.
Hello! There is an elevator
Hello!
There is an elevator that goes from the 1st to the 3rd floor in Haggard. I'm sure that if you ask someone in the library, they'll point it out for you.
no real access?
I dont see how there is no access to the 3rd floor there is an elevator that takes you between 2nd and 3rd so if second isn't a problem whats the difference between that and the 3rd floor
Disability services
Although navigating the library is a bit awkward for those of us with disabilities, I want to offer appreciation and gratitude to the library staff, who I have found to be unfailingly helpful and accommodating with regard to disability services. Thanks to all of you!
